If you are unsure whether to buy the print book of the e-book, consider the following.
Facts about the print book form:
- The print-book form is assembled and distributed by Jazzwise in the UK.
- The print-book form from only contains the first 70 pages printed and bound; the song roadmaps are not printed but are included as a PDF on a CD in the back of the book.
- The PDF on the CD can be electronically searched across all the song roadmaps.
- The book has an ISBN and so can be ordered from any bookshop. However, they can only obtain the print-book form from Jazzwise, so you may as well order it from them.
- Amazon lists all books with an ISBN and by default says that they are temporarily out of stock. This is really unhelpful. But it is possible to buy the print-book from Amazon, though some of the prices are a bit odd and you would probably be better to go direct to Jazzwise where the print-book is made, or buy the e-book form from this web site.
Facts about the e-book:
- You can print any parts of or all of the e-book yourself if you want a hard copy as well as the e-book.
- You can do this from your computer or ask you local print shop to print it. However, be aware that you should not share the password for your e-book with anyone else.
- The whole e-book (text, appendices and song roadmaps) can be electronically searched on your computer which is better than relying on the index in the print book.
- The e-book can be loaded to your portable device such as iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad for using the roadmaps any time any place.
- The e-book is less than half the price of the print book before P&P charges are added for the print book. But you would need to factor in the cost of printing it yourself if this is what you plan to do. Remember that there about 70 black and white pages and about 240 colour pages.
- The e-book is generally despatched within 24 hours and attracts no delivery charges whatsoever.
Unless you really hate email, computers and electronic devices, I'd recommend that you buy the e-book. Some customers have bought both.
